Here’s a fun profile of international artist Susana Arias, whose paintings and sculptures are on exhibit in museums from San Jose, California to Panama. Noted sculptor, painter and potter, Arias was born in Panama but lives and works in Santa Cruz, California.

Susana is considered one of the most important artists of Panama. She is the recipient of grants such as the “National Endowment for the Arts” in1987 in sculpture and the ”Environs Enhancement Award” in 1997; given to one Cal Trans project in the state of California for best design. She was honored as Distinguished Artist of Santa Cruz County in 2000 by the Santa Cruz Art League.
