Will I receive a document for tax purposes via email and/or mail?
- KQED will send an email receipt for tax purposes by 1/31/18 to any donor for whom we have an active email address and who donated any amount in 2017 via an ongoing Sustaining donation OR who donated $150 or more otherwise.
- KQED will mail a receipt for tax purposes by 1/31/18 to any donor without an active email address, or who requested a receipt via mail, and donated any amount in 2017 via an ongoing Sustaining donation OR who donated $150 or more otherwise.
How can I update the name, email address, and/or address used for my document for tax purposes?
You may update your name and/or email address using this form. Please note via the form that you need a replacement document for tax purposes if that is necessary.
How can I request a replacement, or corrected, document for tax purposes?

How can I update my information (name, address, phone number and e-mail address) online?
You can update your name, address, phone number and e-mail address as well as leave comments or questions by going to our Update Member Info form.
I don’t want to give you my phone number and/or email address on the Web. Why is it required?
KQED uses your email address for several reasons — mostly to contact you for Thank You gift shipping notifications or courtesy notices regarding the status of your Thank You gift. Your email and phone numbers are important to us so that we can contact you quickly to resolve issues with your membership as well. We also use these to contact you regarding renewing your membership as well, but you can certainly opt out at any time.
How can I change my mailing address?
You can update your name, address, phone number and e-mail address as well as leave comments or questions online through the Update Member Info form or by sending the old and new information to email@example.com. You may also notify us using the Member Services phone number listed at the bottom of this page.
I am trying to reduce my paper waste. Can I have email-only notifications?
Yes, please contact us using the Member Services contact form or phone number listed at the bottom of this page to tell us that you want to receive all communications available via email. Please make sure to include the correct email address and add KQED to your contacts list.
What is the recommended contribution for basic membership
KQED basic membership is $40. A $25 membership is available to students, seniors and others with limited incomes.
Does KQED fund raising support any other charities?
No, KQED does not raise funds for other nonprofit entities.
How do I arrange for a tour of the TV studio or radio station for a group or organization? What days and times are possible? Is there a limit to the size of the group?
Call the KQED Docent Program at (415) 553-2849. Generally, groups tour on Friday mornings and are limited to about 20 people, but other arrangements can be made.

Can I make a gift in memory of another individual?
Yes. Send your contribution to Memorials C/O KQED Membership Department, 2601 Mariposa Street, San Francisco, CA 94110. Provide the name and address of the individual. Acknowledgements will be sent to the donor and the person named who inspired the gift (if appropriate). You may also print out a form to fill out and fax to us at (415) 553-2349.
How can I include KQED in my will or living trust?
You can make a gift (bequest) to KQED through your will or living trust by designating a percentage of your total estate, the residue or a portion of the residue, or a specific dollar amount. See Wills & Living Trusts for sample bequest language. KQED’s Federal Tax I.D. Number to provide to your attorney is 94-1241309.
