It keeps me feeling sane.&#8221;<cite>&#8212; Bella Feldman<\/cite><\/aside>\n<p><b>Bella Feldman<\/b> creates what she calls &#8220;anxious objects&#8221; &#8212; ranging from large-scale, imposing pieces to smaller more intimate pieces. Her art and vision of the world is affected by hearing Hitler&#8217;s speeches on the radio as a child. <b>Spark<\/b> visits Feldman in the studio to see her &#8220;War Toys&#8221; and mechanical glass and metal sculptures.<\/p>\n<p>Her &#8220;War Toys Series 1992&#8221; and &#8220;War Toys Redux Series 2003&#8221; were provoked by the Gulf War and bio-terrorism and are ominous yet playful renditions of weaponry.
