It’s a fantastic year for wildflower lovers, who’ve been flocking to fields of poppies, lupine and golden brush to witness California’s ‘Super Bloom.’ We asked our social media fans for your photos of the spectacle, and you delivered! Here’s a sampling of the #CASuperBloom.

You can also see the ‘Super Bloom’ from space, and find out what it means for desert creatures. Park ranger Steve Bier says anyone who wants to see this spectacle of nature had better get there before those sphinx moth caterpillars eat up all the flowers.

Don’t forget your camera, sunscreen and water. Please stay on the trail and don’t trample the flowers just to get the picture.
