In this third season, Joanne takes viewers through Greece, Spain, Italy, Germany and back to her home state of California in 13 festive, delicious and visually stunning half-hour episodes.

Episode 1 : Let Them Eat Cake!

In Vienna, Joanne tastes the legendary Sacher Torte and learns a contemporary twist on the classic Torte from an up-and-coming young chef. Back home, Joanne brings the wonders of Viennese pastry as she makes her favorite chocolate cake inspired by her mom.

Episode 2: Lamb Jam 

On the Greek island of Syros, Joanne and her students prepare a feast of roasted lamb and Greek-inspired side dishes.

Episode 5: The Secret Ingredients of Greece

Along stone walls overlooking the Aegean sea, Joanne and friends embark on a hunt for capers. Back in the kitchen, they prepare a variety of Greek-inspired dishes featuring these delicious flower buds.

Episode 6: Spaghetti

Joanne takes a pilgrimage to Italy’s most famous tomato region to discover the secrets of the prized San Marzano tomato. She returns to her studio kitchen to make the most delicious spaghetti dishes.

Episode 7: Sunset In The Fig Orchard

You're invited! Joanne entertains and instructs food bloggers and influencers in a cooking class and tasting al fresco at Jacobsen Orchards in Yountville - California’s premier location for haute cuisine produce.

Episode 8: Washington Wine Country 

Fire up the grill! In Walla Walla, Washington, Joanne visits the charming Mediterranean-inspired restaurant Saffron for grilled quail with plum sauce. After a trip to the farm, Joanne returns home for BBQ burgers and fruit salad.

Episode 9: Tapas-Hopping, My Favorite Hobby

In La Rioja, Spain, Joanne seeks out the best tapas bars and a generations-old vermouth house. Back home, Joanne shares her favorite tapas recipes you can prepare for your own bite-sized taste of Spain!

Episode 10: Tomatoes Three Ways

In the heart of Parma, Joanne soaks up the delights (and heat!) of the Italian Food Valley, where tomatoes thrive. In her home kitchen, Joanne prepares a selection of tomato-inspired favorites.

Episode 11: Oktoberfest

Beer, sausage and schnitzel on the beautiful Danube river! Joanne shares the secrets of this harvest festival, German style.

Episode 12: Meet Me In The Wine Cellar

Joanne visits her friend in his ancient wine cellar in Parma to taste wines made in small batches by cult Italian winemakers. She then returns to her studio kitchen to cook up a few Parma-inspired recipes.

Episode 13: You Say Potato 

Joanne travels the world to bring potato recipes to her studio kitchen. From Hungary to Greece to Spain, everyday spuds are seen in a new light.

Chef Joanne Weir

Joanne Weir is a James Beard Award-winning cookbook author, international cooking teacher and renowned chef.  Joanne's passion for home cooking was stoked by a legacy of life in the kitchen.

Joanne spent five years cooking with Alice Waters at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California and studied with Madeleine Kamman in France, where she was awarded a Master Chef Diploma with honors. Her ultimate calling is teaching others to cook in the United States and throughout the world -- Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, UK, South America, Mexico and Canada.

Joanne has a long history as a host for her own cooking shows, which air nationally on public television and CreateTV.  In her award-winning television series, Joanne Weir's Cooking Class and her  series Joanne Weir Gets Fresh,  Joanne's love of teaching students how to cook is shared with a national TV audience.  Her latest series, Joanne Weir's Plates and Places, began airing in February, 2018.

In 2012, Weir opened Copita, a modern Mexican restaurant and tequileria in Sausalito, California partnering with restaurateur extraordinaire, Larry Mindel.  In 2014, Copita was named Best Mexican Restaurant in the Bay Area by 7x7 Magazine and was featured on the cover of San Francisco Magazine as one of the best Mexican restaurants in San Francisco.

She has published numerous cookbooks, including From Tapas to Meze (Crown, 1994,) the James Beard nominated You Say Tomato (Broadway Books 1998), and Kitchen Gypsy:  Recipes and Stories from a Lifelong Romance with Food (Oxmoor House, 2015,) among many others. Joanne also writes for many national magazines including Cooking LightBon Appétit, Fine CookingBetter Homes and GardensFood & WineAARP The Magazine and Sunset Magazine.
