KQED and Capital Public Radio Announce Live State of the State Special

Governor Jerry Brown’s inauguration and State of the State address will air on KQED Public Radio on Monday, January 5, at 10am.

KQED’s statewide news service The California Report and Capital Public Radio will co-produce and present a live, one-hour broadcast special California State of the State 2015 featuring Governor Jerry Brown’s inauguration and State of the State address. The radio special will air on KQED Public Radio 88.5 FM on Monday, January 5, 2015, at 10am. Co-hosted by John Myers, senior editor of KQED’s Government and Politics Desk, and Beth Ruyak, host of Capital Public radio’s Insight program, the special will feature field interviews at the Capitol as well as in-studio guest analysts in Sacramento and San Francisco. A special archive of State of the State addresses going back to 2004 created by Capital Public Radio is available at www.govspeech.org.

The California Report is KQED Public Radio’s statewide radio news and public affairs program. The daily edition airs Monday through Friday mornings on KQED 88.5 FM. The program also produces a 30-minute weekly magazine, which airs on KQED 88.5 FM Friday afternoons. The program is carried by more than 30 public radio stations in California and many local station reporters are regular contributors to the program.
