The third annual San Francisco Green Film Festival, which starts May 30 and ends June 5 this year, will be presenting a series of environmentally-conscious films, mostly at the New People Cinema in Japantown. Here is a selection of pretty stunning trailers for films being screened at the festival this year:

1. The Ruffalo-studded Dear Governor Cuomo, directed by Jon Bowermaster. Man, turns out "fracking" does not mean the same thing in real life as it does on Battlestar Galactica:

2. & 3. Breathing Earth and Garden in the Sea, both directed by Thomas Riedelsheimer, who also made Rivers and Tides, a hypnotic documentary on the artist Andy Goldsworthy:

Here is a link to Garden in the Sea, because it can't be embedded.

4. Markus Imhoof's film on the mysterious and terrifying decline of the bee population, More Than Honey:

5. And finally, Andrew Garrison's film Trash Dance, which probably needs no explanation:

Tickets to the festival are on sale now. See you there?
