Covered California Premiums Rise at Record Low Rate
Californians who buy their health insurance through Covered California , the state’s Affordable Care Act marketplace, will see the smallest premium rate increase since the law took effect. Rates for 2020 plans will go up less than 1 percent on average.

Large Numbers of Cameroonian Asylum-Seekers at Mexican Border
The demographics of asylum-seekers waiting in Tijuana to enter the US has shifted. Caravans of Central Americans have given way to people from countries like Cameroon and Eritrea, who are fleeing political persecution. African asylum-seekers took action yesterday against what they perceive as other groups bribing their way into the US asylum system.
