Should Sonoma County Build in Flood Plains?
Massive flooding late last month in Sonoma County caused an estimated 155 million dollars worth of damages to more than 2,500 homes and businesses, as well as infrastructure. It also caused flooding and extensive damage in a new shopping development, recently built in a flood plain in Sebastopol, one that management said would not flood.
