Bay Area professor Christine Blasey Ford made the claim. Ford and Kavanaugh are set to testify. Meanwhile, California congresswoman Anna Eshoo is praising what she calls Ford's courage.

Sacramento Sheriff's Deputy Killed by Gunfire in Rancho Cordova
Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputy Mark Stasyuk is dead after exchanging gunfire with a suspect. Another officer is injured. The deputies were responding to a call about a dispute between an unidentified suspect and an employee at a Pep Boys auto shop. Stasyuk was 27 years old and had been with the department for over four years.
