A big change is coming to the Los Angeles Police Department regarding how it deals with body cam and patrol car footage. The civilian oversight panel voted Tuesday to make video of critical incidents public. Observers say the move is a major policy reversal for the LAPD.

Investigation Looks at Government Handling of Polluting Company
An industrial company near L.A. that melted car batteries down – and polluted neighboring communities in the process is at the center of an investigation critical of Government agencies charged with protecting worker safety. Exide Technologies was closed in 2015 as part of a deal brokered that allowed it to avoid criminal prosecution despite evidence it was a major polluter.
