Our sunny, beautiful weather means meager snow in the Sierra.

Thursday's California Department of Water Resources snow survey at Phillips Station showed a water content of just 14 percent of average. Statewide, the snowpack is at 27 percent of average.

It's not looking good for California's "frozen reservoir" that experts say provides around one-third of the state's water supply.
