Beyond #MeToo: Abuse and Power Through a California Lens

This week The California Report is launching a series of stories and interviews that tackles many of the questions that have arisen in the wake of the #MeToo movement. We'll explore topics like how boys are raised, explore different California "bro" cultures and talk about sexual harassment and its effect on women’s lives.

We kick-off the series with former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner. He resigned his office in 2013 after more than a dozen women accused him of sexual harassment. Filner later pleaded guilty to charges of false imprisonment and battery.

And we also hear from one of Filner's victims: someone on our team here at KQED, Politics and Government Reporter Katie Orr. We hear her story and reaction.
Guests: Bob Filner and Katie Orr
