The current Sierra snowpack lags behind last year's, but don't panic yet. There's a chance storms over the next few months will save the day.

At this time last year, the statewide report on snow water content was 67 percent of average, but that soon changed.

A lot of snow and rain can fall over the next three months, but if it doesn't we're in trouble.
