The National Park Service closed San Francisco's Aquatic Park to swimming after two serious attacks by sea lions.
One swimmer was bitten in the groin and another on the arm, both injuries were considered serious.
At least one of the swimmers was a member of San Francisco's South End Rowing Club that was established in 1873. (Full disclosure: I'm a former member but a terrible swimmer.)
