One of the major questions I asked myself this summer when I took a job at KQED was one that nearly every Bay Area newcomer does:

Could I afford to live here?

Then more questions: Where could I afford to live? What would my home look like on that budget? Commutes? Schools and kids?  Will I ever become a homeowner?

The high cost of housing is changing how we live in the Bay Area, and that matters because our homes are part of our dreams, families and futures.

As we gear up for another year of housing reporting, we want to know what we’re missing. Help us shape our coverage by answering this short survey.
