Vietnam War Town Hall on the USS Hornet
Decades after the Vietnam War concluded, its legacy lingers in the hearts and minds of many in the Bay Area. KQED and the USS Hornet recently co-hosted a town hall meeting to reflect on the conflict and its aftermath, which claimed the lives of nearly 60,000 U.S. troops in Vietnam. We went to the town hall to hear from community leaders, veterans and activists.
