Law enforcement said locked doors "saved countless lives" at Rancho Tehama Elementary School during yesterday's shooting rampage.
Video of the attack showed the shooter growing frustrated after six minutes of shooting at locked classrooms, according to Tehama County Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston, who also urged schools to practice their lockdown procedures.
On a tragic day that could have been much worse, the gunman killed five people, wounded 10 and was later killed in a shootout with police.
