A Week into North Bay Fires, Napa Turns to 'Recovery Mode'
At least 42 people are dead, more than 100 are still missing, and nearly 6,000 structures have been destroyed in wildfires across California. Fires in Napa are roughly 60 percent contained, while containment in Sonoma County hovers around 30 percent.

California State Senate Leader Announces Run for U.S. Senate
Los Angeles Democrat Kevin de Leon, the 50-year-old leader of the State Senate and a relentless critic of President Trump, announced Sunday he's entering the race. His opponent is not President Trump, however. It's California's political matriarch Senator Dianne Feinstein. This is her first serious challenger in the past 20 years -- and first from a fellow Democrat.

Former 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick has filed a grievance against the NFL accusing owners of colluding to keep him out of the league. Kaepernick began kneeling during the national anthem to protest police killings of black people, which turned into a divisive national debate.
