Despite Hospital Closures and Their Homes Burning, Sonoma County Nurses Work Through The Night

Thirty one dead, still hundreds missing. Even after these fires are put out, they will forever change the communities of the north bay. Communities marked by character.
Two hospitals, Kaiser and Sutter are closed. Both were evacuated as massive wildfires came close. Yet, nurses worked through the night to get patients out safely, even while their own homes burned.

Big Sur's Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge Reopens Today

And now for a piece of good news about rebuilding after a disaster. Last March, the Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge buckled in a deluge, cutting Big Sur off from the outside world. Today the bridge is opening again.
