Jane Kim and Scott Wiener
One of the hottest races on the November ballot is taking off in San Francisco. City Supervisors Jane Kim and Scott Wiener talk about why they're running for a seat in the California Senate. They join Scott Shafer.

SFPD Found 'Deficient'
This week the U.S. Department of Justice released a scathing report on the San Francisco Police Department, citing "concerning deficiencies in every operational area assessed," including bias, accountability and use of force. The review was requested by Mayor Ed Lee and former Police Chief Greg Suhr after the fatal shooting of Mario Woods and a series of scandals involving racist, sexist and homophobic text messages. KQED's Alex Emslie joins Thuy Vu.

Designing Your Life
At Stanford University, it's been called the most popular elective class on campus. The two professors behind "Designing Your Life" have a new book out to help those who want to make a career change or build a more meaningful life. Professors Bill Burnett and Dave Evans join Thuy Vu.
