Water Polo Charges
A 15-year-old Lafayette water polo player is facing felony charges for a blow that broke an opponent's nose during a game. The case has coaches, athletes and parents talking about its legal ramifications for school sports. San Francisco Chronicle education reporter Jill Tucker joins Thuy Vu to discuss the incident.

Politics Update
Should San Francisco police officers carry Tasers? The question is once again being debated in the wake of the deadly shooting of Mario Woods earlier this month. Scott Shafer, senior editor of KQED's California Politics and Government Desk, talks with Thuy Vu about Tasers, San Francisco jail funding and some of the new laws that take effect on Jan. 1.

Giving Panel
The holiday season is a time for giving. For many people that includes charitable causes. But how can you know if your donation will be well spent? Thuy Vu talks with Tony Rodriguez of nonprofit database GuideStar, Perla Ni of charity crowdsourcing website GreatNonprofits and Lucy Bernholz from Stanford University's Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society.

Interested in finding out how people in your neighborhood or county give? The Chronicle of Philanthropy has put together an interactive tool that allows you to find out, using data from 2012: philanthropy.com/interactives/how-america-gives#search.

Drone Racing
This week the Federal Aviation Administration announced that nearly all recreational users of drones will be required to register their remote-controlled flying machines through a website that goes live on Monday. While many drones are purchased off the shelf, some enthusiasts are building their own -- for fun and competition. KQED Science producer Sheraz Sadiq takes us on a high-flying look into their world.
