It's a debate that's been going on for years in the U.S. What is the minimum amount an American worker should make? Increasing concerns about income inequality have given that debate a tone of urgency. Now, cities have started making the minimum wage policies that states and the federal government have traditionally made -- and about half of the nation's recent minimum wage hikes have been in California.
