Valley Fire Rages, Forces Evacuations in Lake and Napa Counties
One of the fastest burning wildfires in decades continues to threaten Lake County towns this morning. The Valley Fire has killed at least one person, destroyed at least 400 homes and two apartment complexes, as well as 10 businesses. Whole blocks of houses were burned in Middletown, just north of the Napa Valley.
