Here's what you can and can't do, parkingwise, today. And remember, if you find yourself waiting for that San Francisco-East Bay BART train today, remember that it won't come till early tomorrow, as our three-day cross-Bay transportation nightmare is not over till then.

Transit
BART - No trains will run between the East Bay and San Francisco due to maintenance. But if you stay local, BART train service in the East Bay, San Francisco and the Peninsula will be more frequent than during a typical weekend. Trains will run in the East Bay every 10-20 minutes. There will also be fewer rides requiring transfers. Regular BART service is set to resume Tuesday at 4 a.m.
If you simply must go cross-Bay, there will be free ‘lifeline’ bus service between Oakland and San Francisco. If you are headed to San Francisco from the East Bay, buses will run every few minutes, You can board the bus from the 19th street BART Station in Oakland. If you are heading to the East Bay from San Francisco, you can board the bus from the temporary Transbay Terminal at Howard and Main streets, two blocks from the Embarcadero BART Station. Customers should expect delays of up to two hours.
Muni - Muni will run on Sunday schedules for Labor Day. Click on the link to find out which weekday and weekday/Saturday-only routes will not run.
AC Transit - Some AC Transit bus stops will be shifted, and Lines O and F will also be detoured.
San Francisco Bay Ferry - The ferry will provide additional service between Alameda, Oakland and San Francisco. One extra ferry is also being added each day to the Vallejo/San Francisco route. Click on the link for the schedule.
