The World Champion Golden State Warriors have arrived back in the Bay Area, with some new hardware.
Your Guide to the Warriors Parade

Time & Place: Parade will start Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Broadway and 11th Street in Oakland. The parade route goes up Broadway to Grand Avenue, before turning right on Harrison and following Lake Merritt down to the Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center, which will be the site of a rally after the parade. According to a Warriors release, fans can start lining up for the rally as early as 5:00 a.m. at Lakeshore and 12th Street.
Transportation: BART is expecting record ridership Friday morning. Rush-hour service will run all day Friday “using every available train possible at maximum length to help people get to where they need to be.”

AC Transit has a list of affected lines, including detours beginning 10 p.m. Thursday night and continuing until 10 p.m. Friday night. Recommended lines are as follows:

“Take lines 1, 1R, 11, 14, 18, 26, 40, and 62 to Laney College or 1st Ave. & International Blvd., which are within walking distance of the rally point on Lake Merritt Boulevard. These lines along with lines 20, 26, 51A, 58L, 72, 72M, and 72R will also get you near the starting point of the parade along 11th Street and Broadway.”

Forecast: High of 74. Mostly cloudy early, sunshine in the afternoon. Not to jinx it, but 0% chance of precipitation. (Remember this rainy Giants parade in October?)
