It's been a very good week for a former deli owner from Bakersfield, Republican Congressman Kevin McCarthy, who was elected this week to be the new Majority Leader in the House of Representatives. He's the first Californian and at age 49, the youngest person ever to hold that job. What will Kevin McCarthy do as Majority Leader -- and what difference will it make to issues important to California?
