At midnight, BART workers went on strike after months of negotiations collapsed late Thursday night. Workers began picketing early Friday at 4 a.m. and commuters dealt with heavy traffic as they headed to work Friday morning. Reactions were mixed with some in support of and some angry with the striking workers.
