Tumbling rocks smashed into cars traveling on Highway 101 near Sausalito Friday morning.

Here's the report from Bay City News:

BCN—All lanes of southbound U.S. Highway 101 have reopened near Sausalito after boulders fell onto the roadway early this morning, according  to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP received reports shortly before 4:50 a.m. of boulders  about 3 feet in diameter on the roadway on southbound Highway 101 near the  off-ramp to Alexander Avenue.

The rocks blocked multiple lanes of the highway until about 6:45  a.m. when the boulders were cleared and all lanes reopened, according to the  CHP.

No one was injured in the incident.

And The Associated Press:

At least one vehicle was damaged after several large rocks came down on southbound Highway 101 in Sausalito just north of the Golden Gate Bridge.

California Highway Patrol Officer Andrew Barclay says the rocks _ the biggest one 3 feet by 3 feet large _ broke through fencing and spilled onto the highway around 4:45 a.m. Friday. The driver of the SUV that was damaged was taken to Marin General Hospital complaining of pain.

Barclay described his injury as minor.
