City College of SF Hits Deadline on Plan to Avert Closure
Friday is the deadline for one of California's largest colleges to report on how it plans to avoid closure. City College of San Francisco must demonstrate that it has addressed 14 fiscal and management problems the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges identified earlier this year. If the commission de-certifies the school, City College would lose federal funding and could be effectively shut down this summer.
