Lighting the Bay Bridge With 25,000 LEDs
The glamorous Golden Gate Bridge usually gets all the love in the San Francisco Bay Area. But now the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge is having its moment. The new eastern span -- under construction for more than a decade -- opens next fall. And this Tuesday night, artist Leo Villareal will unveil a massive light sculpture he has designed for the bridge's western span.
