As has been widely reported, Woody Allen, who churns out movies like Major League Baseball churns out seasons, is at it again in the Bay Area. Tiburon, Larkspur, Belvedere, Pacific Heights, Valencia Corridor, North Beach -- Woody has been spotted filming and recreating all over Marin and San Francisco.

And this morning, on my way to work, I ran smack dab into his production at 14th and South Van Ness.

The scene involved someone who looked, from a distance, an awful lot like Cate Blanchett, walking into the New Central Cafe, listed as closed on Yelp.

The movie also stars Alec Baldwin and Louis C.K. and has been described by the San Francisco Film Commission as a romantic comedy about "a woman trying to make it on a budget when she moves to San Francisco after her posh New York City lifestyle comes crashing down." (Suggested tagline: "Good luck with that.")
