  • Prop. 8 ruling: 3 possibilities for 9th Circuit (SF Chronicle)

...The decision by the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, due at 10 a.m., won't be the last word from the judiciary on the scope of marriage, or on the validity of the November 2008 initiative. After possible further review by a larger appellate panel, the case will almost certainly head for the U.S. Supreme Court. The format and metadata included in the Anonymous post appear aimed at highlighting that the information was obtained by computer hacking.

Supporters of two ballot initiatives that would raise taxes to fund public education and other services said on Monday they will not back down from those efforts, upending Gov. Jerry Brown's crusade to clear the November ballot of any competing tax measures.

The Marin Telecommunications Agency is considering suing Comcast Corp. to force it to begin paying 1 percent of its yearly revenue to help support Marin public access channels.

  • Romney makes Pete Wilson his honorary California chairman (Bay Area News Group)

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Monday announced the endorsement of former California Gov. Pete Wilson, and named him the Romney campaign's honorary California chairman -- a choice that might not sit well with Latino voters.
