Morning Fog Alert for Bay Area Bridges

(Bay City News) Fog advisories have been issued throughout the early morning for many Bay Area bridges, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Drivers on the Benicia Bridge have been alerted about foggy weather as of 3:24 a.m., according to the CHP.

Earlier in the morning the CHP issued fog advisories for the San Mateo, Bay, Golden Gate and Carquinez bridges.

The National Weather Service has also issued a dense fog advisory for the San Francisco, Suisun and Monterey bays and nearby regions as of 3:55 a.m.

The advisory will be in effect until 10 a.m., weather officials said.

Visibility in affected areas is at a half mile or less, according to the NWS.
