Update 11:35 a.m. CSN Bay Area reports tickets sold out "shortly after being made available to the general public."

Original post:

Now that the regular season is over, the real competition begins. No, not the playoffs. The quest for playoff tickets.

Seats for the 49ers' first playoff game since 2002 (think Jeff Garcia and Terrell Owens) go on sale at 10 a.m. On Jan 14, the Niners will play either the Saints, Falcons or Giants at Candlestick. The price range? $94.00 -$395.00, plus fees. (Or $107 to $414, to put it another way.)

Cam Inman of the Merc has details on his blog:

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster: at www.ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000. Once those seats are snagged — a maximum of four per order — fans can hit the re-sale market at NFL Ticket Exchange. Season-ticket holders had first dibs on playoff tickets, so a limited number are available.

Here's the Ticketmaster web page.
