Video: Giants, Dodgers Players' Pre-Game Message in Honor of Bryan Stow

Major League Baseball has posted the video of last night's remarkable dual plea for respect and civility between Dodger and Giant fans in the wake of the savage beating of Giants' fan Bryan Stow outside Dodger Stadium opening day.

Jeremy Affeldt, who choked up at one point, spoke for the Giants, Jamey Carroll for the Dodgers.

"We ask that you respect our rivalry and that you respect each other as fans," Affeldt said. "... When the last out is made, the rivalry ends on the field."

"There's no room in the game for hatred and violence," Carroll said. "This is America's national pastime and let's keep it that way."
