Video: Lewis Lapham on Obama, Pelosi, and Pension Reform

A couple of days ago we interviewed David Brooks after his appearance on Forum. A day later, we corralled Lewis Lapham, an equally esteemed public intellectual, albeit from a different part of the political spectrum, after his Forum interview.

We asked Lapham, the founder of Lapham's Quarterly and formerly the longtime editor of Harper's Magazine, some of the same political questions -- about liberal disillusionment with President Obama, and the culpability of Nancy Pelosi for last year's Democratic collapse.

And here's the David Brooks interview again. It's interesting, both men made surprising comments on different issues: Brooks said he'd rather have seen a single-payer health care system enacted than the one we ended up with; and Lapham said that recent events in Wisconsin could be seen as a "positive."
