KQED's John Myers reports that Assembly Speaker John Perez has called a vote on the budget, tomorrow at 1 p.m. He writes:

The Assembly has called a 1pm Wed floor vote on the budget package, but there's no deal. Key staffer tells me the $12 billion in cuts *can* be passed Wed without approval of the Guv's special election on $11 billion in tax extensions. So while in previous years, we'd call a vote in the absence of a deal to be a "political drill," this one could actually result (if the Senate concurs) in cuts being sent to Brown's desk.

Update 1:45 p.m. John Myers tweets that the Senate has also scheduled a budget vote for 1 p.m.

A blog post on the latest developments in Sacramento on Capital Notes is in the works for later this afternoon.
