Gretchen Weber of KQED's Climate Watch took a little boat trip today to catch a glimpse of the King Tides in San Francisco. These are extremely high tides that hit the California coast a couple of times a year.
The boat excursion was conducted by San Francisco Baykeeper, an environmental group that is trying to draw attention to the potential effects of global warming on sea level.
Here's Gretchen's video of waves slopping over into the San Francisco streets just south of the Ferry Building.
