At the Castro Theatre last night, Airplane! — one of the funniest movies of all time — was honored as part of the San Francisco Sketchfest festival.

Forum’s Michael Krasny today talked to the movie’s creators, David Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and Jerry Zucker, about the film and the roots of their comedy. Interesting tidbit: David Letterman auditioned for the film.
