The Macworld Conference and Expo is on, today through Saturday at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

From the Examiner:

About 26,000 Apple fanboys and girls are expected to gather at the Moscone Center today through Saturday for Macworld Expo 2011. The 27-year-old annual convention no longer includes any formal connection to the Cupertino company, but 270 vendors of Apple products will be there to show off their latest wares and apps for the popular electronics.

At one time, Steve Jobs himself introduced groundbreaking products like the iMac and iPhone at the conference. But Apple's last year of official participation was 2009.

Boy I don't want to say that the expo has seen better days, but the featured performer this year is Sinbad. Maybe he'll be introducing the Mac SE? (Okay actually he's a Mac fanatic and a conference regular. He's also tweeting from the convention floor.)
