  • The Snitch interviewed former SF supe Aaron Peskin about yesterday's big to-do at the board over who will become the city's interim mayor. Peskin's take: City administrator Ed Lee, who appears poised to emerge as the city's caretaker chief exec, is a "lightweight," as is David Chiu, Peskin's former protege who voted for Lee.
  • The San Francisco Citizen points us to a Twitter feed that is not really from Ed Lee, who is in any event not really the mayor...yet. Fake Ed seems to be obsessed with his own mustache, offering such pithy pearls as "the M in MUNI stands for Mustache. All Hail Mayor Lee!!!" and "Not only would I be the city's first Chinese American mayor, but also HAVE YOU SEEN MY MUSTACHE? LOOK AT IT JUST LOOK AT IT (it is awesome)."
  • From Oakland North, an article about Victoria Kolakowsi, who upon her swearing-in yesterday became the nation's first openly transgender trial judge.
  • Rumors abound that tomorrow Apple will launch a Mac App Store, which will give OS X desktop users access to the same kind of free and purchasable software programs that the iPhone, iPod, and iPad make use of. iDunno -- sounds cool. Item from Gizmodo.
