That's because, as you no doubt have read, Gavin Newsom is leaving the tranquility of San Francisco politics to enter into the rough-and- tumble world of Lieutenant Goverdom. Only he's not leaving quite yet, hanging around another few days in order to delay a vote on his successor until the new board -- presumably more to his liking -- is seated.
