Remember during the World Series, when you drove yourself to distraction trying to figure out a way to synch up KNBR's radio broadcast with Fox's TV feed, because you:

a) Wanted to listen to Kruk and Kuip
b) Did not want to listen to Joe Buck and Tim McCarver
c) All of the above

There was so much discussion about this among the Giants faithful that we actually felt it necessary to work up a blog post on the matter.

A lot of people around here tried various methods to accomplish this Holy Grail of Giants-gazing, but all met with a delay on either the audio or the visual end. Some lived with it, some reluctantly returned to Fox.

Well, guess what? Now you won't have to make that awful, awful choice. Starting tonight, Comcast Sportsnet Bay Area will re-broadcast key post-season games, wedding the Fox TV transmission and the KNBR broadcast-- featuring Kruk, Kuip, Jon Miller, and Dave Fleming -- into a single work of Bay Area baseball delight.

Tonight's revel: NLDS Game 1 -- Lincecum strikes out 14 Braves.

And to get a taste of the feel you get from different broadcasters, watch and listen to Edgar Renteria's decisive Game 5 home run, as called by the Fox, Giants, and Texas announcers.

The Texas guys -- they don't sound too peppy.
