The Bay Area (and much of the West) awoke to eerie skies thick with smoke as massive wildfires continued to burn across multiple states.
Smoke particles from fires are interacting with sunlight to give Wednesday a particularly eerie/apocalyptic/terrifying/Instagram-worthy glow.
The good news is, it seems that the particles are mostly staying high overhead.
The bad news is, the National Weather Service says that is about to change.
