After a delay, commercial Dungeness crab season is now open, so get your pots ready!

State officials delayed the season to minimize the chances migrating whales would get entangled in crabbing gear.

Now that the whales have largely moved on, crabs are left to fend for themselves and resist the overpowering urge to walk into that scary-looking trap for a free meal.
