Police are searching for two suspects in a Tuesday afternoon shooting at San Bruno's Tanforan mall that left two teenagers wounded.

The victims, both males, were transported to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. A hospital spokesperson said one of the wounded teens was in critical condition and one was in serious condition.

San Bruno Police Chief Ed Barberini told reporters that the circumstances of the shooting were still under investigation. Fire officials said that two other people were injured during the incident but refused treatment.

The incident led to a cascading series of delays on BART, which shut down its San Bruno Station, adjacent to the Shops at Tanforan, immediately after the shooting was reported.

Later, the agency locked down its 12th Street Station in downtown Oakland as BART police searched for a suspect in the shooting believed to be aboard a train there.

BART diverted trains bound from San Francisco to Richmond and Pittsburg-Bay Point south toward Warm Springs and Dublin-Pleasanton -- sending thousands of passengers away from their destinations.

BART said its San Bruno stop and parking garage would remain closed until police OK'd resumption of service there.

But trains were allowed to begin rolling through the station again about 6:30 p.m. -- without stopping -- en route to San Francisco International Airport and Millbrae.
