The recent mass shooting in San Francisco's Bayview district received far less attention than the April 3 shooting at YouTube headquarters in San Bruno.
Six people were shot last Friday on the corner of Third Street and Quesada Avenue, with one killed and two still hospitalized in serious condition.
San Francisco police say they have no information on the suspect at this time.
The Gun Violence Archive defines a "mass shooting" as an incident where four or more people are shot or killed, not including the shooter.
Zuckerberg General Hospital spokesman Brent Andrew told KQED, "one of the things that we all need to do better is informing the public about how often these shootings happen."
