In written testimony released the day before he goes before Congress, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, "It was my mistake and I'm sorry."

Zuckerberg's much anticipated testimony will begin on Tuesday before the Senate Judiciary and Commerce committees and will continue before the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Wednesday.

Facebook executives are in extreme damage-control mode as questions about data privacy, spreading fake news and election meddling mount.
