State Sen. Bob Hertzberg (D-Van Nuys) will face harsher punishment if he continues to give unwanted hugs, says the Senate Rules Committee.

Hertzberg, nicknamed "Huggy Bear" by his colleagues, was reprimanded by the committee but spared harsher punishment because his "motivation is not sexual in nature."

The Legislature has seen multiple investigations and resignations since the #MeToo movement began.
